Mac OS Session – 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Topics: Potential threats online for those using iPhones or iPads and how to steer clear of them. Take positive steps with good passwords, safe use of email, safe use of social media like Facebook, safe use of Charlestown wi-fi and public wi-fi sites like Starbucks, and good practices in your device settings.

Recommended software  and app to consider before the meeting: Find My iPhone and Dashlane for the Mac.

Speakers:

Walt Howe is a retired cryptanalyst, cryptanalysis trainer, signals intelligence training developer, and training director for the US Army Security Agency Training Center & School. He has been using computer networks before there was an Internet.

Hope Tillman is a retired librarian and information professional who  enjoys being an early adopter of technology. She develops and manages websites for nonprofits and is the assistant webmaster of CCICharlestown.org.

Doile Peters is the Charlestown IT site coordinator or computer support person. He will share his security and scam experience working with residents with Macs and iOS devices. Doile was recognized as a Mission Moments Master in February.
